This is so frustrating: The Abyss is one of my personal favorite films, but all indications are that there’s a good chance that the old, non-anamorphic standard definition DVD may be the only physical release we’ll ever see, and even a digital HD release is an open question.

  1. @odd I’ve got the Abyss special edition DVD, but man, when you compare the video quality of that disc to even a decent 1080p blu-ray…it’s just sad that it’s been in limbo for so long.

  2. @djwudi Yes… I think True Lies may be Schwarzeneggers best movie. My favorite scene is at the end where he and Curtis kiss, and the nuke goes off in the background, instead of there being a sunset…
