title=\"Introducing Movable Type\">gave an interview<\/a> regarding their newly announced weblogging program, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.movabletype.org\/\" title=\"MovableType\">MovableType<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On October 8, 2001, MovableType v1.00 was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.movabletype.org\/docs\/mtchanges.html#1.00%20(2001.10.08)\" title=\"MT v1.00\">released to the public<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On December 21, 2001, I <a href=\"http:\/\/www.djwudi.com\/longletter\/archives\/2001\/12\/21\/new_blog_software_movabletype.php\" title=\"New blog software - MovableType\">started using MovableType<\/a> for my weblog. This would have been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.movabletype.org\/docs\/mtchanges.html#1.31%20(2001.12.13)\" title=\"MT v1.31\">v1.31<\/a> at the time.<\/p>\n<p>On April 23, 2003, TypePad was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sixapart.com\/log\/2003\/04\/six_apart_miles.shtml\" title=\"Six Apart Milestones\">announced<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.typepad.com\/news\/2003\/04\/site_launch.html\" title=\"Site Launch\">TypePad site went live<\/a> with some teaser info on the new service.<\/p>\n<p>On June 24, 2003, TypePad <a href=\"http:\/\/www.typepad.com\/news\/2003\/06\/typepad_updates.html\" title=\"Beta testing has begun\">beta testing was announced<\/a>. I, along with many other people, applied for a spot in the next round of testing.<\/p>\n<p>On July 7, 2003, I was notified that I had a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.djwudi.com\/longletter\/archives\/2003\/07\/07\/typepad_beta_testing.php\" title=\"TypePad beta testing!\">new toy to play with<\/a>. ;)<\/p>\n<p>The point to all this? No point at all, really. Just kind of cool knowing that I&#8217;ve been doing my small part to help the Trotts take over the world <em>almost<\/em> since the beginning.
