Gene Robinson has successfully passed two of the three votes before being elected, and a possible compromise has been reached for a ceremony celebrating same-sex unions. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/articles\/A18152-2003Aug4.html\" title=\"U.S. Episcopal Leaders to Vote On Gay Bishop\">This is wonderful news<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n  &#8220;God is not on a learning curve,&#8221; Robinson said. &#8220;We, on the other hand, are on the learning curve.
