{"id":15641,"date":"2019-12-09T10:33:44","date_gmt":"2019-12-09T18:33:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/michaelhans.com\/eclecticism\/?p=15641"},"modified":"2019-12-12T14:29:43","modified_gmt":"2019-12-12T22:29:43","slug":"ghostbusters-afterlife-trailer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/michaelhans.com\/eclecticism\/2019\/12\/09\/ghostbusters-afterlife-trailer\/","title":{"rendered":"Ghostbusters: Afterlife Trailer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>First things first: I really enjoyed the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ghostbusters_(2016_film)\">recent Ghostbusters reboot<\/a>, am disappointed that so many people <a href=\"https:\/\/paleofuture.gizmodo.com\/the-new-ghostbusters-didnt-ruin-my-childhood-because-th-1783667342\">attacked it<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/gizmodo.com\/twitter-isnt-doing-enough-about-leslie-jones-racist-tro-1783886488\">its stars<\/a> so viciously, and am disappointed that rather than continuing that story, it&#8217;s apparently being ignored in favor of continuing the original story. Even some of the statements from the upcoming film&#8217;s creators <a href=\"https:\/\/io9.gizmodo.com\/im-already-sick-of-this-1832783715\">were quite questionable<\/a>, even if they were quickly walked back afterwards. So when the first trailer dropped today, I went into it with a pretty healthy dose of skepticism.<\/p>\n<p>That said \u2014\u00a0it&#8217;s a good trailer, and while all of the above comments absolutely still apply, I&#8217;m now a lot less skeptical than I have been. While I&#8217;d still love to see a continuation of the reboot continuity, this new film picking up the original continuity does look promising.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE - Official Trailer (HD)\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ahZFCF--uRY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Plus, it was fun watching this for the first time with Prairie, because I didn&#8217;t clue her in to what we were watching, and she didn&#8217;t realize what it was for until the reveal about halfway through (right at the &#8220;Whoa&#8230;killer replica!&#8221; line).
