Here&#8217;s today&#8217;s batch of possibilities (in no particular order)&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/trailers\/paramount_classics\/theunitedstatesofleland.html\" title=\"The United States of Leland\">The United States of Leland<\/a>: Can <a href=\"http:\/\/us.imdb.com\/name\/nm0540441\/\" title=\"Jena Malone\">Jena Malone<\/a> <em>be<\/em> in a bad movie? Add <a href=\"http:\/\/us.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000228\/\" title=\"Kevin Spacey\">Kevin Spacey<\/a> and an interesting looking trailer, and it definitely goes on the &#8220;potential&#8221; list.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/trailers\/touchstone\/king_arthur.html\" title=\"King Arthur\">King Arthur<\/a>: So far, I&#8217;ve got mixed feelings on this one. If they can do the story well, then I&#8217;m all for it (one of my favorite retellings of the Arthurian saga is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/redirect?tag=djwudicom-20&amp;path=search-handle-url\/index%253Dstripbooks%2526field-keywords%253Dcamulod%252520chronicles\" title=\"The Camulod Chronicles\">Jack Whyte&#8217;s Camulod Chronicles<\/a>, which take a very realistic non-magical approach) &#8212; but something about the trailer isn&#8217;t quite grabbing me. All the stars look much to &#8220;pretty&#8221; on first blush, like they&#8217;re trying to aim for a cast full of <a href=\"http:\/\/us.imdb.com\/name\/nm0001557\/\" title=\"Viggo Mortenson\">Viggo Mortenson<\/a>-as-Aragorn to pull in the teen girl contingent. On the other hand, <a href=\"http:\/\/us.imdb.com\/name\/nm0461136\/\" title=\"Keira Knightley\">Keira Knightley<\/a> looks <em>supremely<\/em> drool worthy in her battle garb, so maybe I&#8217;m not one to talk&#8230;.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/trailers\/touchstone\/the_village\/\" title=\"The Village\">The Village<\/a>: <a href=\"http:\/\/us.imdb.com\/name\/nm0796117\/\" title=\"M. Night Shyamalan\">M. Night Shyamalan<\/a> is a bit of an enigma to me. So far, each of his films has been <em>great<\/em> upon first viewing, but has absolutely no replay value afterwards (with the sole exception of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/tg\/detail\/-\/B00004BZIY\/\" title=\"The Sixth Sense\">The Sixth Sense<\/a>, which was fun to watch a second time just to see all the subtle hints you missed the first time), and I found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/tg\/detail\/-\/B00007AJLD\/\" title=\"Signs\">Signs<\/a> to be <a href=\"https:\/\/michaelhans.com\/eclecticism\/2003\/05\/signs.html\" title=\"Signs\">a letdown at the end<\/a>. As with the rest, the trailer for this one has me going &#8220;Oooohhh&#8230;&#8221; &#8212; but will he finally be able to craft a movie that stands up to multiple viewings?<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/trailers\/touchstone\/raising_helen\/\" title=\"Raising Helen\">Raising Helen<\/a>: Okay, this one was definitely a Prairie pick. ;) Looks to be a cute little comedy &#8212; but it&#8217;s got <a href=\"http:\/\/us.imdb.com\/name\/nm0005028\/\" title=\"Kate Hudson\">Kate Husdon<\/a> (yum) and <a href=\"http:\/\/us.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000349\/\" title=\"Joan Cusack\">Joan Cusack<\/a>, who I&#8217;ve always enjoyed when she pops up in a film. Probably a renter rather than one to beeline for in the theater (at least in my estimation).<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/trailers\/universal\/connie_and_carla\/\" title=\"Connie and Carla\">Connie and Carla<\/a>: The first part of the trailer had me cringing. Then the drag queens showed up, and suddenly I was fine with it. Which probably says something about me, but I&#8217;m not sure I want to go there&#8230;.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/trailers\/newline\/the_notebook\/\" title=\"The Notebook\">The Notebook<\/a>: Again, sappy romantic stuff is generally more along Prairie&#8217;s tastes than mine, but if I&#8217;m in a mood for it, this looks like it could be good, and it&#8217;s certainly pretty. We&#8217;ll see when it comes out.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/trailers\/touchstone\/the_last_shot.html\" title=\"The Last Shot\">The Last Shot<\/a>: I&#8217;m most intrigued by the fact that this is apparently based on a true story about a guy hired by the FBI (without his knowledge) to direct a movie (that will never be released) in order to run a sting on the mob. The trailer has some cute lines in it (though these days, often those are the only good lines in the entire film)&#8230;reserving judgment on this one for the moment.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/trailers\/lions_gate\/godsend.html\" title=\"Godsend\">Godsend<\/a>: This one I&#8217;d never heard of before tonight, but it&#8217;s rocketed right the top of my &#8220;potential&#8221; list. After a couple loses their son in an accident, they&#8217;re approached by a doctor who offers to inseminate the mother with a clone of their son, essentially allowing him to be &#8220;reborn.&#8221; Once the new son hits the age that he died, things start to get all sorts of freaky. Looks to be quite cool.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/trailers\/fox_searchlight\/garden_state\/\" title=\"Garden State\">Garden State<\/a>: This trailer caught my eye when Prairie, Kirsten and I went off to see <a href=\"https:\/\/michaelhans.com\/eclecticism\/2004\/03\/eternal_sunshin.html\" title=\"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind\">Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind<\/a>. Very little idea what the movie is <em>about<\/em>, but the imagery in the trailer is enough to catch my interest. I am amused by the link on the trailer page to the trailer&#8217;s music on the iTunes Music Store, though &#8212; hadn&#8217;t seen that trick before!<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/trailers\/paramount\/the_stepford_wives\/\" title=\"The Stepford Wives\">The Stepford Wives<\/a>: I&#8217;m really unsure about this one. While I&#8217;ve not read <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/asin\/0060080841\/djwudicom-20\" title=\"The Stepford Wives\">the book<\/a>, I&#8217;m a fan of the (dated, but still creepy) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/asin\/B00005ASOL\/djwudicom-20\" title=\"The Stepford Wives\">original film version<\/a>, and the fact that this is listed as a &#8220;comedy&#8221; makes me wonder about it. Of course, with <a href=\"http:\/\/us.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000173\/\" title=\"Nicole Kidman\">Nicole Kidman<\/a> (yum) and <a href=\"http:\/\/us.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000686\/\" title=\"Christopher Walken\">Christopher Walken<\/a> in the film, it can&#8217;t be <em>all<\/em> bad, right?<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/trailers\/independent\/godzilla.html\" title=\"Godzilla\">Godzilla<\/a>: The orignal &#8212; UNCUT. UNCENSORED. UNDUBBED.
