He&#8217;s got a good <a href=\"http:\/\/homepage.mac.com\/credmond\/iblog\/C1790588688\/E350393016\/index.html\" title=\"Memorial Day, Folklife Festival, and more...\">writeup of his time there<\/a>, contrasting it to a similar event in DC and pointing out quite a few links to local bands worth investigating.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe next year I&#8217;ll be able to hit more of it. In the meantime, I&#8217;m really looking forward to this year&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bumbershoot.org\/\" title=\"Bumbershoot\">Bumbershoot<\/a> (using the almighty power of Google, here&#8217;s a few links to my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=site:www.michaelhanscom.com+bumbershoot&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;oe=UTF-8\" title=\"Google for 'bumbershoot' on michaelhanscom.com\">ramblings of past Bumbershoots<\/a>, to give you an idea).<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t really think of something similar in Anchorage. Maybe the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.talkeetnabluegrass.com\/\" title=\"Talkeetna Bluegrass Festival\">Talkeetna Bluegrass Festival<\/a>? Hmmm&#8230;now <em>there&#8217;s<\/em> something worth babbling about at some point.
