We had a very pleasant four days of doing next to nothing other than lying around, watching DVDs, and munching on Thanksgiving goodies. She&#8217;d made a really good Thanksgiving dinner (turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, sweet potatoes with melted marshmallows on top, cranberry jelly, and pumpkin pie) that, true to form, lasted all weekend long.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/michaelhans.com\/eclecticism\/graphics\/2004\/11\/graphics\/PB260001.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelhans.com\/eclecticism\/graphics\/2004\/11\/graphics\/PB260001-tm.jpg\" height=\"239\" width=\"300\" alt=\"CWU Campus, Ellensburg, WA\" longdesc=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We ended up watching <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/asin\/B00005JMQZ\/djwudicom-20\" title=\"Shrek 2\">Shrek 2<\/a> (good, of course), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/asin\/B0002KVUKM\/djwudicom-20\" title=\"Van Helsing\">Van Helsing<\/a> (entertaining moments, but overall <em>really<\/em> bad), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/asin\/B0002W4UDE\/djwudicom-20\" title=\"The Stepford Wives\">The Stepford Wives<\/a> (the new version &#8212; cute, but not great), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/asin\/B00005JN3W\/djwudicom-20\" title=\"Raising Helen\">Raising Helen<\/a> (cute), and I&#8217;ve now seen the first three seasons of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/redirect?tag=djwudicom-20&amp;path=tg%2Fstores%2Fseries%2F-%2F15764%2Fref%3Dpd_sr_ec_ser_d\" title=\"Friends\">Friends<\/a> (which, I have to admit, is a fun little sitcom), plus we went out to see <a href=\"http:\/\/disney.go.com\/disneypictures\/nationaltreasure\/splash.html\" title=\"National Treasure\">National Treasure<\/a> in the theater (not great, but definitely enjoyable).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/michaelhans.com\/eclecticism\/graphics\/2004\/11\/graphics\/PB260004.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelhans.com\/eclecticism\/graphics\/2004\/11\/graphics\/PB260004-tm.jpg\" height=\"300\" width=\"239\" alt=\"Willow leaves, Ellensburg, WA\" longdesc=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Eventually, the weekend drew to a close, and after Prairie loaded my bag up with leftovers, I hopped the return bus to Seattle, and am home again.<\/p>\n<p>It looks like my brother and his family visited Alaska for the holiday, and there a <em>lot<\/em> more baby pictures up on the family photo gallery, including this cute one of Kevin, Emily, and Noah.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/michaelhans.com\/eclecticism\/graphics\/2004\/11\/graphics\/kevemilynoah.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelhans.com\/eclecticism\/graphics\/2004\/11\/graphics\/kevemilynoah-tm.jpg\" height=\"300\" width=\"224\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"0\" vspace=\"0\" alt=\"Kevin, Emily, and Noah\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/click.linksynergy.com\/fs-bin\/click?id=xLsJkztrnNY&#38;offerid=78941.10000002&#38;subid=0&#38;type=4\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" width=\"61\" height=\"15\" alt=\"iTunes\" src=\"http:\/\/images.apple.com\/itunesaffiliates\/logos\/iTunes_sm_bdg61x15.png\"><\/a> &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/click.linksynergy.com\/fs-bin\/stat?id=xLsJkztrnNY&#38;offerid=78941&#38;type=3&#38;subid=0&#38;tmpid=1826&#38;RD_PARM1=itms%253A%252F%252Fphobos.apple.com%252FWebObjects%252FMZSearch.woa%252Fwa%252Fcom.apple.jingle.search.DirectAction%252FadvancedSearchResults%253FartistTerm%253DBj&#246;rk%2526albumTerm=Homogenic%2526songTerm=Pluto%26partnerId%3D30\">Pluto<\/a>&#8221;
