(Collector's Edition)'\">Rear Window<\/a>, and tonight I watched <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/tg\/detail\/-\/0790749815\/djwudicom-20\" title=\"Amazon: Alfred Hitchcock: 'North by Northwest'\">North by Northwest<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Man<\/em> I&#8217;m bummed I didn&#8217;t discover Hitchcock earlier.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s not to say I&#8217;m a complete neophyte &#8212; I&#8217;ve seen <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/tg\/detail\/-\/0783225849\/djwudicom-20\" title=\"Amazon: Alfred Hitchcock: 'Psycho (Collector's Edition)'\">Psycho<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/tg\/detail\/-\/0783226055\/djwudicom-20\" title=\"Amazon: Alfred Hitchcock: 'Vertigo (Collector's Edition)'\">Vertigo<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/tg\/detail\/-\/0783240236\/djwudicom-20\" title=\"Amazon: Alfred Hitchcock: 'The Birds (Collector's Edition)'\">The Birds<\/a> in the past, and some time ago a reader was kind enough to <a href=\"https:\/\/michaelhans.com\/eclecticism\/2004\/03\/random_presents.html\" title=\"Eclecticism: Random Presents\">send me<\/a> a copy of a recent (and very good) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/tg\/detail\/-\/006039322X\/djwudicom-20\" title=\"Amazon: Patrick McGilligan: 'Alfred Hitchcock : A Life in Darkness and Light'\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/images.amazon.com\/images\/P\/006039322X.01._SCTHUMBZZZ_.jpg\" align=\"right\" \/>Hitchcock biography<\/a>, but really, I hadn&#8217;t seen much of anything of his oeuvre. After reading the biography, though, I went through and added every Hitchcock film that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.netflix.com\/\" title=\"Netflix\">Netflix<\/a> had available to <a href=\"https:\/\/michaelhans.com\/eclecticism\/netflix.html\" title=\"Eclecticism: Netflix\">my queue<\/a>, and now they&#8217;re starting to filter in.
