href=\"https:\/\/michaelhans.com\/eclecticism\/2004\/04\/gmail_and_safar.html\" title=\"Eclecticism: Gmail and Safari\">Mac-unfriendly<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/eportal.com\/2005\/02\/google-maps.html\" title=\"ePortal.com: Google Maps\">at launch<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/michaelhans.com\/eclecticism\/graphics\/2005\/04\/graphics\/googlevideo-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelhans.com\/eclecticism\/graphics\/2005\/04\/graphics\/googlevideo-1-tm.jpg\" height=\"267\" width=\"490\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"0\" vspace=\"0\" alt=\"Google Video Uploader Installer.exe\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At this point, they don&#8217;t even provide a backup web-upload option &#8212; just the Windows-only uploader application. Pity, that, as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ourmedia.org\/\" title=\"Ourmedia\">Ourmedia.org<\/a> seems to be going through some growing pains (I <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ourmedia.org\/node\/5548\" title=\"Ourmedia: First Christian Church demolition, Seattle, WA (low quality)\">uploaded a video<\/a> three days ago, and it&#8217;s yet to actually appear in a useable form on the site), and I&#8217;m looking forward to being able to host some of my more bandwidth-intensive experiments on servers more powerful than mine.<\/p>\n<p>Still, I&#8217;ll hope that this is just a temporary thing, and as with <a href=\"http:\/\/gmail.google.com\/\" title=\"Gmail\">Gmail<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/\" title=\"Google Maps\">Google Maps<\/a>, Safari\/Mac OS X support will come along before too long.
