I might start doing this occasionally &#8212; the things I grab may or may not be of interest to anyone else, but they catch my eye for one reason or another. Make of that what you will.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Australia gets drunk, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.satirewire.com\/news\/jan02\/australia.shtml\" title=\"SatireWire: Australia gets drunk, wakes up in North Atlantic\">wakes up in North Atlantic<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/\" title=\"Apple\">Apple<\/a> finally released <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/pr\/library\/2002\/jan\/28pmg4.html\" title=\"Apple: Apple Unveils Dual 1-GHz Power Mac G4\">new PowerMac G4s<\/a>, hitting the 1 Ghz mark.<\/li>\n<li>Even though I just switched to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.movabletype.org\/\" title=\"Movable Type\">Movable Type<\/a> for my weblogging software, it&#8217;s tempting to take a closer look at <a href=\"http:\/\/radio.userland.com\/\" title=\"Radio Userland\">Radio Userland<\/a> &#8212; maybe next time I redesign.<\/li>\n<li>Someone found a really cool way to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wired.com\/news\/mac\/0,2125,50025,00.html\" title=\"Wired News: Turning Macs on Thievery\">find their stolen iMac<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dvdfile.com\/\" title=\"DVDFile\">DVDFile<\/a> has a really cool article about the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dvdfile.com\/news\/special_report\/inside_the_disc\/tron\/index.html\" title=\"DVDFile: Inside the disc: Tron\">creation of the Tron DVD<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>We could someday be living inside <a href=\"http:\/\/www.economist.com\/science\/tq\/displayStory.cfm?Story_ID=779421\" title=\"Economist: How to see through walls\">transparent concrete homes<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>TV stations can now use a machine to &#8216;compress&#8217; television shows so that they&#8217;re shorter &#8212; allowing them to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.techtv.com\/news\/culture\/story\/0,24195,3369312,00.html\" title=\"TechTV: Trimming TV Time\">sell more commercials<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just some interesting stuff I&#8217;ve stumbled across in the last few days.
