src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/15\/19654295_6eb4a03b6e_m.jpg\" width=\"240\" height=\"180\" alt=\"Apple eMate, June Webloggers Meetup, Ralph's Grocery, Seattle, WA\" align=\"right\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flashenabled.com\/\" title=\"Flash Enabled\">Phillip Torrone<\/a> brought a bunch of old and new hardware, gadgets, and toys along, including an Apple eMate, a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/djwudi\/19654336\/\" title=\"Apple Newton, June Webloggers Meetup, Ralph's Grocery, Seattle, WA\">Newton<\/a>, and his cell phone &#8212; which is actually an old rotary phone that he&#8217;s hacked the cell phone hardware into. Pretty impressive!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/spaces.msn.com\/members\/chasblog2\/\" title=\"chasBlog2\">Chas<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.soylentcontent.info\/\" title=\"Soylent Content\">Pops<\/a> and I spent some time talking about Podcasts, and the possibility of my turning my dj mixes into a podcast stream. I&#8217;m still not entirely sure if I&#8217;m going to move that way, but I&#8217;m at least running it around in my head.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/djwudi\/19654561\/\" title=\"June Webloggers Meetup, Ralph's Grocery, Seattle, WA\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/13\/19654561_deb5e3f647_m.jpg\" width=\"240\" height=\"180\" alt=\"June Webloggers Meetup, Ralph's Grocery, Seattle, WA\" align=\"left\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.8bitjoystick.com\/index.php\" title=\"8Bit Joystick\">Jake<\/a> was wandering around interviewing anyone who&#8217;d sit still in his vicinity for more than a minute, and tossed a few questions my way. Look for some rather brainless-sounding pauses, &#8220;um&#8221;s and &#8220;aaahh&#8230;&#8221;s from me in an upcoming podcast from him at some point, if he doesn&#8217;t edit me out completely. ;)<\/p>\n<p>As things were winding down, I spent a little time chatting with <a href=\"http:\/\/cybergeisha.net\/\" title=\"Cybergeisha\">Kristin<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/awarmgun.net\/\" title=\"a warm gun\">Ian<\/a>, both first-time attendees. Much enjoyed were the possibilities of answering Jake&#8217;s &#8220;What tech issue would you ask your state representative about if you had the chance?&#8221; question with &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Teledildonics\" title=\"Wikipedia: Teledildonics\">Teledildonics<\/a>&#8220;, and Kristin and Ian&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/cybergeisha.net\/gallery\/view_photo.php?set_albumName=homeland&amp;id=HomelandSecurity1\" title=\"cyubergeisha.net image archive: homeland security\">picture outside the local Department of Homeland Security<\/a> office.<\/p>\n<p>A walk home afterwards, accompanied for a while by Jake and Chas until they went off their respective directions, and the evening was done.
