He was waking up and getting breakfast when the hatch was blown, which was late at night on the surface.<\/li>\n<li>In the bunker: lights behind the blinds to simulate daylight.<\/li>\n<li>Desmond: &#8220;Are you him?&#8221; Who?\n<ul>\n<li>(later) He&#8217;s been waiting for someone&#8230;a replacement to man the bunker? Apparently he&#8217;s been waiting a long time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Oooh, Jaws gets a cameo!<\/li>\n<li>Sawyer dropped the gun in the ocean&#8230;ha! Ah, no, just some of the bullets.<\/li>\n<li>Flashback: Michael got <em>railroaded<\/em> by those lawyers.<\/li>\n<li>Locke&#8217;s being crafty (convincing Desmond to tie Kate up, slipping Kate the knife).<\/li>\n<li>Sawyer figured out that the Others were after Walt, not Claire&#8217;s baby.<\/li>\n<li>Desmond: &#8220;So the world&#8217;s still out there?!&#8221;\n<ul>\n<li>Later, asked about people getting sick. Apparently there either was (or he was told there was) some sort of dangerous virus on the surface.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The numbers:\n<ul>\n<li>Typing the sequence into the computer resets a countdown timer.<\/li>\n<li>Counts from 108.00 to zero.<\/li>\n<li>Was shown flipping to 4.26 before Locke keyed in the sequence.<\/li>\n<li>Desmond was probably waking up to the &#8220;alert&#8221; beep from the computer telling him that it was about to run down (alert starts at 5.00?). If each unit is a minute, has he been unable to sleep for more than ~90 minutes at a time (shades of Battlestar Galactica&#8217;s &#8217;33&#8217;)?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Desmond didn&#8217;t seem to recognize Jack through the scope&#8230;unclear if he did after Jack recognized him.<\/li>\n<li>That logo (the one seen throughout the bunker) was on the shark&#8217;s tail! Genetic engineering?<\/li>\n<li>Flashback: Michael gave Walt a polar bear.<\/li>\n<li>There&#8217;s Jin! Beat up, arms held behind his back with a stick. Captured\/held by the Others?<\/li>\n<li>Oooh&#8230;yeah. The Others.
