I&#8217;d been tossing it over in my head for a while, as it really didn&#8217;t serve a purpose other than making it just a little harder to get to the actual content of my site. Then, today I came across <a href=\"http:\/\/www.webpagesthatsuck.com\/\" title=\"Web Pages That Suck!\">Web Pages That Suck<\/a>, and it opens with a splash page that goes into detail on why splash pages shouldn&#8217;t be used. So&#8230;mine&#8217;s gone.<\/p>\n<p>Just imagine &#8212; now you can get to the random babble that I put up here <em>that much faster<\/em>!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I just nuked the splash page for my site, so now this page should be the first thing you see.
