be turning 33 in just a couple of weeks, on May 3rd. This year I only really had one thing on my birthday wish list, and <a href=\"https:\/\/michaelhans.com\/eclecticism\/2006\/04\/new_toy_nikon_d.html\" title=\"Eclecticism: New Toy: Nikon D70s\">that&#8217;s already arrived<\/a>, thanks to my <em>wonderful<\/em> girl (doubly wonderful, as she&#8217;d already <a href=\"https:\/\/michaelhans.com\/eclecticism\/2006\/03\/sometimes_birth.html\" title=\"Eclecticism: Sometimes birthdays come early\">spoiled me once<\/a>!). I&#8217;ve even received another early birthday present from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alaska.net\/~royce\/\" title=\"Royce Williams' Home Page\">Royce<\/a>, in the form of another year&#8217;s membership to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/\" title=\"Flickr\">Flickr<\/a> (keeping me at the &#8216;pro&#8217; level until November of &#8217;07)!<\/p>\n<p>I am <em>incredibly<\/em> spoiled.<\/p>\n<p>However, I have had the occasional &#8220;so, what <em>do<\/em> you want for your birthday?&#8221; inquiry. At this point, I&#8217;m pretty much set, so kind wishes will do me just fine. But&#8230;if someone&#8217;s <em>determined<\/em> to spend a little money on me (okay, not terribly likely, but you never know), books and music are always appreciated. I&#8217;ve got a bunch of each saved in my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/o\/registry\/1P4IU0ESEJFTS\" title=\"My Amazon Wish List\">Amazon Wish List<\/a>, but there are three CDs that I&#8217;d like to call special attention to.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/michaelhans.com\/eclecticism\/2003\/03\/soundtrack_for.html\" title=\"Eclecticism: Soundtrack for a Century\">Back in March of 2003<\/a>, I stumbled across a series of discs from Sony called the &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/millennium.sonymusic.com\/\" title=\"Sony Music Soundtrack for a Century\">Soundtrack for a Century<\/a>&#8216;, celebrating 100 years of music recordings and releases from the Sony family of record labels.
