{"id":3928,"date":"2006-11-28T07:40:47","date_gmt":"2006-11-28T15:40:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/michaelhans.com\/eclecticism\/2006\/11\/28\/no-snow-day-for-us\/"},"modified":"2019-12-20T11:26:14","modified_gmt":"2019-12-20T19:26:14","slug":"no-snow-day-for-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/michaelhans.com\/eclecticism\/2006\/11\/28\/no-snow-day-for-us\/","title":{"rendered":"No Snow Day for Us"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Why in the world, when <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wsdot.wa.gov\/News\/2006\/11\/28SnowUpdate6AM.htm\">the WSDOT is telling people to stay home<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.king5.com\/\">King 5<\/a> is telling everyone to stay home (in between breathless reports of doom, destruction, car accidents, and OMG the END OF TEH WORLD!!1!!11), and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.schoolreport.org\/\">nearly every other school in Washington<\/a> is closed&#8230;what&#8217;s up with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seattlecolleges.com\/\">Seattle Community Colleges<\/a> (and, specifically, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.northseattle.edu\/\">North Seattle Community College<\/a>) staying open?<\/p>\n<p>Grrrrr. It&#8217;s not <em>just<\/em> that I want my snow day &#8212; and sure, I do &#8212; but it&#8217;s <em>dangerous<\/em> out there. Demanding that students and teachers fight their way through this crud to get to school is stupid and irresponsible.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Grrrrr.
