Not a bad adventure, though there were some aspects that didn&#8217;t work for me.<\/p>\n<p>Slight spoilers after the photo\u2026<\/p>\n<figure>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelhans.com\/eclecticism\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/IMG_5117.jpeg\" alt=\"Me holding Ring of Fire\" title=\"IMG_5117.jpeg\" border=\"0\" width=\"749\" height=\"562\" style=\"float:right;\" \/><br \/>\n<\/figure>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Spoilers begin\u2026<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>One character is described as &#8220;Vulcanoid&#8221; of mixed heritage, and presents as very emotional. At a time when Spock&#8217;s half-human heritage is quite rare, it&#8217;s very odd for a mixed-heritage Vulcan with human-like emotions to be a character without this being remarked upon at all.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Two characters get into a &#8220;prank war&#8221; that is obviously supposed to add humor to the story, but just came across to me as being mean-spirited and potentially medically dangerous.
