I&#8217;ve been so caught up with the day-to-day trials and tribulations of life in general (lots of stress lately &#8212; mostly work and pay [what little there is] related), that I&#8217;d almost entirely spaced out on the fact that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gudbier.org\/\" title=\"The Imperial Nation of Gudbier\">Casey<\/a> is getting married this weekend &#8212; and I&#8217;m DJ&#8217;ing his wedding reception!<\/p>\n<p>So last night he stopped by to drop off some CDs for me to use that aren&#8217;t club music (which after 8 years of DJ&#8217;ing is most of my collection) so that I won&#8217;t scare his extended family <em>too<\/em> much, and I ended up heading off with Casey, Chad, Tim, Patrick, and Karl for a little while as they bounced around downtown on a semi-mini-bachelor-party. We started out having a couple drinks and talking at <a href=\"http:\/\/seattle.citysearch.com\/profile\/10776792\/\" title=\"Citysearch: Marcus' Martini Heaven\">Marcus&#8217; Martini Heaven<\/a> in Pioneer Square, then walked up a few blocks to the <a href=\"http:\/\/main.dejavu.com\/\" title=\"Deja Vu S - 1000's of beautiful girls...and 3 ugly ones!\">Deja Vu<\/a> strip club on 1st Ave.<\/p>\n<p>It was an interesting experience, that&#8217;s for sure. While I&#8217;m not much for hanging out at strip clubs (this was my first time setting foot in one since I moved to Seattle), I don&#8217;t mind stopping by from time to time with a group of friends. Since the one I hit the most in Anchorage was the Showboat (Brian, one of the gents that owned Gig&#8217;s Music Theater where I DJ&#8217;d was a doorman for the Showboat, and I often stopped by to talk to him, and would generally stop in long enough to buy a drink and watch a few dances), it was interesting to compare the two. Better music at the Deja Vu, but the songs are cut off after 3 minutes instead of playing for their full length as they do at the Showboat.<\/p>\n<p>Other than that, though &#8212; a strip club&#8217;s a strip club &#8212; bored girls get onstage, get naked, and wiggle. I&#8217;d be more entertained if any of the girls could actually dance decently, or do an actual strip tease (rather than one song &#8216;clothed&#8217; and one song naked). However&#8230;that just doesn&#8217;t seem to be the case. Ah, well. Guess I&#8217;ll just stick to the dance clubs where people stay dressed&#8230;at least in those, I can dance too!<\/p>\n<p>Oh &#8212; and as for the title of the post &#8212; just about every dancer that came by trying to get table dances from us made a beeline for Chad.
