weekends ago, Prairie and I headed down to Corvallis to visit my brother and his family. Emily, my sister-in-law, is just finishing her doctorate in oceanography, and has accepted a position doing post-doc work at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whoi.edu\/\" title=\"Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute\">Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution<\/a>, associated with <a href=\"http:\/\/web.mit.edu\/\" title=\"MIT\">MIT<\/a>. Great news, of course, but it <em>does<\/em> mean that they&#8217;re all moving across the country to <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?client=safari&amp;q=falmouth+ma&amp;oe=UTF-8&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;split=0&amp;gl=us&amp;ei=vUFbSvHwI4SyswPa1OWDCw&amp;ll=41.5497,-70.927734&amp;spn=2.951612,4.44397&amp;z=8\" title=\"Google Maps: Falmouth, MA\">Falmouth, MA<\/a>.
