It’s official, folks — [TypePad][1] is open for business!

And will you look at those prices? Wow. Too cool.
Wow. I just looked at everything they’re offering, and I’m more than impressed. They offer their package for $5/mo less than I’m currently paying, with just about as many bells & whistles (not counting the swanky blog services). I’m definitely tempted. I guess I need to think about this and weigh the pros & cons.
For me the big thing is being able to modify html, and I don’t know if it’s worth an extra $6.00 a month for that, especially since 1) I’m not using the photo albums and 2) I installed MoveableType on my server right before being let in the beta.
we’ll see…
weighting the pros and cons is going to be the longest battle for me… but then again, i move around a lot it might be worth it, we’ll have to see what happens…
it’s not much of a question for me, especially since i would have to go back to blogger as i don’t have an MT installation anywhere. How could you go back to Blogger after this?
The 20% discount makes it even more affordable. It would be nice to see the Plus version off some HTML template editing since that’s a big issue for so many people.
anyway, i was worried the prices would be higher, so this is a nice surprise. makes you feel like six apart actually means it when they talk about community.
Wow, I look at the prices and I come to a different conclusion.
The pro is overpriced unless you never want to fool with code yourself.
For 15 bucks a month there are far better hosting plans with far more space and bandwidth. Add free mt, and that’s a good deal.
15 bucks a month? Overpriced.
I started to reply to some of these comments, but it turned into a book. ;) Here’s my reply.
