Snipped from Terrance:
Wanda Sykes, on Jay Leno, says of president Bush.
Jay: “But President Bush took responsibility.”
Wanda: “I don’t think the President should have taken responsibility…. I don’t blame the President. I blame the American people. Y’all knew the man was slow when you voted him in. You can’t blame the blind man for wrecking your car when you’re the one who gave him the keys.”
So very, very true.
Tell me about it.
We (thought not me) voted this person to be our President.
Despite moveon.org’s efforts (which I appreciate) one of the issues was one or two vacancies on the Supreme Court. Should we be suprised he chooses persons from his base? We did this.
He ran on the platform that government was too big. He cut back on agencies, such as FEMA (with its joining HSA) and the Corps of Engineers. He did as he said, and should we be surprised?
He is now saying he is not going to raise more money for Iraq and Katrina, but will cut unnecessary government spending (whatever that means). Though this will almost insure a repeat of Katrina in some other area, and will do nothing for the poor, should we be surprised?
We elected this person, we got the Government he said he would bring, and we get the Government we are willing to pay for.
