Lost s02e11: The Hunting Party

This entry was published at least two years ago (originally posted on January 25, 2006). Since that time the information may have become outdated or my beliefs may have changed (in general, assume a more open and liberal current viewpoint). A fuller disclaimer is available.

Scribbled notes while watching last Wednesday night’s episode of Lost (I actually watched it a few days ago, but just realized that I’d forgotten to post this. Oops!). Spoilers, obviously, so only read further if you want to…

Lost

  • Recap’s focusing on Mike and Walt…
    • …and the Jack/Kate/Sawyer triangle.
  • Flashback: Jack
    • He’s gained a reputation as a miracle worker. No, that won’t go to your head.
    • Dad’s not going to be happy that Jack took the patient.
  • Mike’s more than a little loopy…and going after Walt.
  • And everyone’s going after him.
  • Flashback
    • Yeah…that marriage is on its way south.
  • Boys off to hunt, leaving the girl behind. Kate’s ticked.
    • Jealousy plus macho BS.
  • Did Mike get some more info from the computer that we didn’t see? Or is he hunting Walt blindly?
  • Heh — Kate’s getting Hurley to watch the hatch so she can go find the boys.
    • Now Jun wants to go…
    • …but Sun put the damper on that.
  • Locke — always the voice of reason.
  • Locke’s putting Sawyer on the defensive with this name business.
  • Gunshots!
    • Bullet scores and casings.
    • Everybody’s getting tense.
  • Flashback
    • Jack lost the patient.
    • Ooh…and dad butted in.
    • The daughter won’t be gone yet…
      • …bingo.
    • And…there’s the kiss. Stupid Jack.
      • At least he walks away.
  • Whoa…who’s grungy guy?
    • Gotta be one of the guys from the boat.
    • They’re surrounded…time for a talk.
  • Yup — Kate’s somewhere out there too.
  • The Others
    • Must’ve been watching for a while, they’ve got lots of info.
    • Walt’s “very special.”
    • It’s been 50 days since the crash.
    • They’ve got Kate…
      • …standoff.
      • And the Others win.
  • A little reconciliation between Jun and Sun.
  • Heh. Kate screwed up, and she knows it.
  • Flashback
    • Jack’s trying…too little, too late?
    • Yup.
    • Oh…she was having an affair.
  • Oooh…Jack wants to fight back. Hehe. Look out, others…
