Scribbled notes while watching last night’s episode of Lost. Spoilers, obviously, so only read further if you want to…
- Reprise: Charlie and drugs, Charlie and Claire
- Oh…he does have a few statues there. I missed that before.
- Flashback
- Charlie and Liam as kids
- He gets a piano for Xmas? Nice!
- Whoa…family issues.
- Adult Liam…in a diaper? Not pretty.
- And Charlie wakes up.
- Drug dream? Sober nightmare?
- You can’t make up with Claire that easily, Charlie.
- (Especially when you’re still hoarding heroin.)
- Flashback
- So Charlie’s an uncle…and lying to protect his brother.
- He must still be (mostly?) clean at this point.
- Heh: “Tailies” — Hurley’s word for the survivors from the tail.
- Sawyer just cannot resist being a shit.
- Charlie…hallucinating?
- Rescues Aaron from floating out to sea
- Claire and Charlie’s mom: “You have to save he baby, he’s in terrible danger”
- Love the religious motif
- Another dream (?) — wakes up in the surf, holding Aaron.
- Claire’s freaked (understandably)
- Sawyer’s playing Cupid, in his own jackassish way
- Okay, it’s evasive, but Charlie’s got a point (Kate and the horse, everybody seeing Walt, etc.)
- But he’s still lying about the heroin stash.
- So is he using or not?
- Prairie and I don’t think so.
- Flashback
- Okay, this is a horrid commercial
- The whole band’s in diapers
- That’s what Liam was wearing in the first dream sequence
- And drug-addled Liam screws it up
- One of the characters noticed the brand-new washer and dryer!
- Hurley just froze…
- She’s quite the flirt!
- Okay, say something nice Hurley, it’s a cute top…good boy.
- Eko’s marking the trees he likes…huh?
- Dream analysis by Eko
- They have to baptize Aaron? Okay…
- Charlie’s really freaking Claire out
- Not that he didn’t before
- Maybe he took the religious symbolism a bit too seriously?
- Charlie’s really freaking Claire out
- Jack’s really working on getting Ana-Lucia set up.
- Where do they keep getting those blue tarps? Do all planes carry a huge stash of these things or something?
- Ana: “You hittin’ that?”
- Not much for subtlety, that girl.
- Charlie’s got at least six statues.
- Well, five now.
- Flashback
- Liam/Karen/Megan: nice (if obvious) parallel to Charlie/Claire/Aaron.
- Which Charlie, of course, isn’t really paying attention to.
- Liam/Karen/Megan: nice (if obvious) parallel to Charlie/Claire/Aaron.
- …and Locke finds Charlie with the heroin in his hand.
- Locke: “You’ve given up the right to be believed.”
- Prairie thinks Locke’s evil.
- Claire wants a little extra protection
- She’s thinking about the baptism comment, though.
- Is Locke going to show her the statues?
- Nope…thought about it, though.
- What’s Charlie lighting?
- Will Sahid connect that Charlie was the one who set the fire?
- Oh…he’s creating a diversion…
- …so he can take Aaron.
- Flashback
- Liam sold the piano
- Using the money for rehab and fixing his family
- Don’t do it, Charlie…
- …or, okay, do it.
- Confrontation…
- …and Locke takes Aaron, gives him to Claire.
- And beats Charlie down. Heh.
- Nobody’s going to be fond of Charlie for a while.
- At least Charlie says he was still clean.
- Eeww…do they really need to show the stitching?
- Locke’s changing the gun cabinet combo again?
- Baptisms for Aaron and Claire, courtesy of Eko.
- Hmmm…interesting that Locke’s not destroying the heroin. Just locking it away.
- And up comes Charlie’s hood…
Strange no-one considers the medical uses of heroin. It would surely be useful as an analgesic.
This is one of the first times I’ve gotten to read your notes as I’m all caught up, now. I kept saying that they shouldn’t get rid of all the heroin. I’m sure Jack could use it in cases of emergency for pain relief, etc. – but you obviously don’t want it out in the open.
