Happy birthday to me,
I’m now thirty-three,
I should have better words here,
but I suck at poetry.
Also: today marks two years since I decided to stop shaving my head and let my hair grow out. The result, after two years without a haircut: lots and lots of curls.
“Epilogue from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan” by Cincinnati Pops Orchestra (Erich Kunzel) from the album Symphonic Star Trek (1996, 3:04).
More photos of Noah, Kevin, and Emily can be found in Saturday’s photos, and a few of Prairie and her mom are in Sunday’s photos.
We’re back. Family and friends were visited, many photos were taken, fun was had. I’m starting to get photos uploaded to Flickr, though so far I’ve just taken care of Friday’s shots. The rest (including many cute shots of my nephew) will have to wait ’til I’m home from school tomorrow.
In the meantime, here’s my girl at our hotel in Corvallis…
“You’ve Got A Friend In Me” by English Chamber Orchestra (Donald Fraser) from the album Bibbidi Bobbidi Bach (1996, 4:06).
While wandering around NSCC before class one morning last week, I took this picture of an interesting looking tree trunk:
Once home, both Prairie and I saw a “potbellied pig monster” in the contours of the trunk.
Can you see it?
What actually happened here was that I’d forgotten to switch my white balance away from a custom setting for indoors. However, I actually like the final effect — the gold tones give this an old-timey, almost storybook look to my eye.
“Let Your Body Die” by Cyber-Tec from the album Cyber-Tec (1995, 4:52).
“Pleasant Smell” by 12 Rounds from the album My Big Hero (1998, 4:10).
“Talkshow” by Anderson, Laurie from the album United States Live (1984, 6:57).
There’s a little carnival in the parking lot south of the Northgate Mall right now. Not sure why it’s there, but we went down to wander around for a few minutes a couple days ago.
