Things I run across that I find to be interesting, but might not have the time or inclination to craft a fuller post around it. Generally, short little “go here, look at this, isn’t it neat?” posts.
A pair of articles that I wanted to comment on, but don’t have time to right now. Very interesting reading, though, especially if you read or write a weblog (such as this one), or if you use Google for your searches.

Casey sent me a link to a nerd test on the Archie McFee website. This thing gives some really interesting results, as it turns out.

So, I got curious — Mac OS X is a UNIX-based system — would the test be able to factor that in? Yes and no, apparently. I took the test twice — the first time using Internet Explorer:

The second time I took the test, I put in the exact same answers, only this time I used links, a text-based command-line browser:

Interesting, huh? Apparently browsing the web from the command line is pretty nerdy….
Once I know I’ve got the funds settled for both the move and my June trip to Alaska for James and Stacy’s wedding, I’m getting at least one of these. Probably one of the BSOD-t’s and the Mac Bomb-t.

Okay, I’ve spent some more time bouncing around the site, and I really don’t want to say nothing except ‘very cool site’ — that’d be doing it such a disservice. I haven’t even done much more than skim over most of the site — there’s a ton of stuff to read — but I’ve gone over the catalog of shirts and stickers, and I want to order one of each of the shirts, and about five of each of the stickers. Seriously. I could think of so many places to put so many of these stickers. They’re great.
So head over there, check it out. Buy me stuff. :D Buy yourself stuff. Or just look and get a giggle at some of the stuff there. It’s cool.
There’s also some very interesting — and very frightening — stuff to be found in the links from the site. Such as this column on ‘Homeland Security’ checkpoints being set up. I haven’t been as paranoid as some people I’ve met…but stuff like this really makes me wonder.
Dad might find this interesting — it seems the USAF is going to be adding a laser weapon to his old airplane, the “Spectre” AC-130 gunship. My sci-fi toys are catching up to dad’s Air Force years…kinda cool and kinda scary at the same time.
I gotta say, this is really cool.
I just got e-mail from Dean, the webmaster of a Concrete Blonde fansite. Earlier this morning I’d e-mailed him about my little writeup of last night’s show, and he went ahead and posted it on his site!

Another collection of links that I stumble across during the day. This is an easy way for me to temporarily ‘bookmark’ places I can’t dive into while at work, but don’t want to completely forget about by the time I get home. As before, feel free to peruse.
