10,000+ rally for Dean!

This entry was published at least two years ago (originally posted on August 24, 2003). Since that time the information may have become outdated or my beliefs may have changed (in general, assume a more open and liberal current viewpoint). A fuller disclaimer is available.

I’ll get photos and more impressions up later, but the rally today was really successful — over 10,000 people showed up to the event! Just amazing.

There’s a quick note about today’s event on the Dean blog, and there’s an AP slideshow of Dean’s Sleepless Summer Tour with photos from the Seattle event on Yahoo right now (the first 10 or so photos are from today — this one is my favorite, this little girl was right behind me during the rally).

  1. I’m so jealous… There are no rallies or anything here in Anchorage… And I’m missing the nicest weather for gatherings in the lower 48 sigh 3 more weeks and I’ll be home…

    I’m soo jealous

  2. I wasn’t able to attend the rally, But Mr Dean if your reading this (and I know you are) you have my support.
I just have this thing about large crowds. I had to leave Pride fest when it hit several thousand people. And the thought of 10-15 thousand at the Dean rally was just a bit too much for me.

Wudi this is the same reason I had to leave the Anti-Bush rally just as it was starting! I was fine early on and was even in the thick of it but as the crowd really started to jell I was forced to move further and further away. Which is why you found me 100 yards from the rally.
