Shaolin Soccer needs to be released, dammit

This entry was published at least two years ago (originally posted on September 23, 2003). Since that time the information may have become outdated or my beliefs may have changed (in general, assume a more open and liberal current viewpoint). A fuller disclaimer is available.

Among the top 10 movies downloaded on the Internet in August were the usual blockbusters: Pirates of the Caribbean, The Hulk, Matrix Reloaded … and Shaolin Soccer.

Can’t say as I’m surprised, I’ve been waiting for word of its release since I first saw the trailers. I don’t do the online downloading thing, either, so c’mon, Mirimax — get your act together and release this thing!

  1. I’ll admit that that’s a bit tempting, but I think I’ll go ahead and wait — I’m not sure if either my computer or my DVD player handle VCDs. Besides, I have wierd (in this day and age) issues about bootlegs/copyright infringement (I never even got majorly caught up in the online music filesharing brouhaha). Thanks, though!

  2. haha no problem but i do have to clarify that the VCD i suggest, isn’t bootlegs…the show in original cantonese/chinese language was shown like almost year or more back and even free-to-air tv has shown it. on a related note, you can try MacVCD or VLC to watch VCDs on your Mac.
