Lost s02e04: Everybody Hates Hugo

This entry was published at least two years ago (originally posted on October 14, 2005). Since that time the information may have become outdated or my beliefs may have changed (in general, assume a more open and liberal current viewpoint). A fuller disclaimer is available.

Scribbled notes while watching Wednesday night’s episode of Lost. Spoilers, obviously, so only read further if you want to…

Lost

  • Jin’s English speaking is just in Hurley’s dream…which is hilarious.
    • “Have a cluckety-cluck-cluck day, Hugo.”
    • “Everything’s going to change.”
  • Was Anna-Lucia a cop?
  • Hurley gets the flashbacks this week.
  • Hurley’s a really bad liar.
  • They seem to be working Rose into a more prominent character — more evidence that they’ll be introducing her husband?
  • Anna-Lucia is not a nice girl.
  • Flashback: Hurley wanted to ask the girl out before she knew he was rich. Make sure it’s not about the money.
  • Sahid and Jack exploring the bunker’s tunnels: how come the flashlight batteries aren’t dead yet?
    • Perhaps there were batteries in the bunker.
  • Tail section survivors:
    • 23 people survived
    • Living in another bunker
    • Looks older, abandoned
    • Probably unconnected to the in-use bunker
    • So where are the rest of the 23? Dead? Missing?
  • The message bottle washed up…Sun thinks Jin, Michael, Walt and Sawyer are dead.
  • WTF is Hugo doing with the dynamite? Blowing up the food?
    • Yup.
    • “Everything changes.”
    • Yay Rose for talking him out of it.
  • Enough food in the bunker for one man, three meals a day for three months.
  • Heh — Hurley’s Santa Claus…with food.
  • Sun’s hiding the bottle.
  • Rose was right — Bernard’s alive. Not the big black scary man, though.
