After five years in the corporate tech world, I’m coming back to higher education — as of December 1, I will be the Program Manager for Accessible Technology at Highline College!

Here’s the summary from the job position posting of what I’ll be doing in my new position:

The AT Program Manager will be responsible for accessible technology initiatives, including leadership of campus wide accessibility programs, technical expertise with assistive technology, and serve as the subject matter expert on technical accessibility matters. The AT Program Manager functions as a resource for staff and faculty throughout the college by providing training, technical assistance, and guidance on how to ensure equal access for students through accessible electronic media. This position collaborates with a wide range of campus departments and committees to provide accessible technology leadership across faculty, staff, and student groups.

I’m really excited about this. It’s a big change, but one I’m very much looking forward to.
