Year 50 Day 258

Me sitting at a somewhat messy desk next to a green-lit LED schematic of the original USS Enterprise.

Day 258: A friend gifted me an LED decorative schematic of the USS Enterprise (swappable between the original and the 1701-D) that didn’t have a power cord. Not only have I found a couple power cords in my stash that will work for it, but I also found that it’s battery powered and, after a little work cleaning out the corrosion, it’s working again. Soon to be brought with me to my work office!

Bonus shots: A closer view of the gadget, the state of the battery compartment when I opened it, and an extra shot my wife took of me finding a splinter in my thumb after starting a fire in our fireplace.

A circular black stands holds a clear panel with a schematic of the original USS Enterprise which is glowing green. Also visible near or through the panel is a small remote to change LED colors, a screwdriver, and the keyboard and trackpad for my computer.

A battery compartment with three Duracell AA batteries and lots of battery corrosion schmutz.

Me sitting in my living room chair with my glasses pushed up on top of my head, holding my left thumb with my right hand so I don't lose track of the splinter, and smirking as my wife takes my picture.
