Day 299: More work on prepping for DJing at Norwescon. Today I was working on making sure I had a good video output setup with OBS to send to the projection screen that will be behind me on stage during the dance. It’s a variation on what I use when streaming, and I really like the way it comes out.
Bonus: A “behind the scenes” shot from my wife, and a screenshot of the video output.
When running, the background is a selection of SciFi-ish videos. The “turntables” at top right and left rotate and update their artwork based on what’s playing, and the waveforms scroll right to left as the audio plays (all of these elements are pulled directly from the djay Pro interface). The text at the bottom also automatically updates based on the current primary track. The caricature of me on the bottom right is static, but the design of the t-shirt changes every 15 seconds, randomly selecting from a collection of 71 possible designs.
