Prairie and I are prepping for this afternoon’s #marchforscience satellite march in Yakima.
Politics
Politically, I’m very liberal — about as far left as one can go without sliding into Libertarianism.
Had a #womensmarch postcard writing session this morning with Prairie; they’ll be in the mailbox today!
Prairie and I printed out a small stack of #womensmarch postcards to start sending to our representatives. Taking action doesn’t stop once the rally is done. This is a start.
Got back to town and found the #Ellensburg rally in support of the #womensmarch events! We hit two protests in one day!
Signs! #womensmarch #yakima
So many people, even on this side of the state! We’ve heard others guessing around 2,000, which wouldn’t surprise us! #womensmarch #yakima
Make vaginas great again! #womensmarch #yakima
Gathering for the #womensmarch in #yakima!
Day One
I keep thinking that I should say something to mark the day, but I really don’t know what to say that hasn’t been said already by many other people, more eloquently than I’m likely to do.
So, instead, I’ll just say two things.
First, that I see this as a very unfortunate day, and I only hope that the next four years aren’t as bad as I fear they are going to be.
And second, midterm elections are in just under two years, and the next presidential election in just under four.
Vote.
