Another online quiz — though this one (unlike many others), actually gave me a result that seemed pretty accurate: the three-variable funny test.
The Wit
(60% dark, 30% spontaneous, 22% vulgar)
your humor style: CLEAN | COMPLEX | DARK
You like things edgy, subtle, and smart. I guess that means you’re probably an intellectual, but don’t take that to mean you’re pretentious. You realize ‘dumb’ can be witty–after all isn’t that ‘the Simpsons’ philosophy?–but rudeness for its own sake, ‘gross-out’ humor and most other things found in a fraternity leave you totally flat. I guess you just have a more cerebral approach than most. You have the perfect mindset for a joke writer or staff writer. Your sense of humor takes the most effort to appreciate, but it’s also the best, in my opinion.
Also, you probably loved The Office. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, check it out here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/theoffice/.
PEOPLE LIKE YOU: Jon Stewart – Woody Allen – Ricky Gervais
My test tracked 3 variables. How you compared to other people your age and gender:
|
You scored higher than 54% on dark
|
You scored higher than 0% on spontaneous
|
You scored higher than 9% on vulgar |

(And, once again, I’m driven up the wall by the mind-boggling horrible HTML code that these quizes generate. I just don’t have the time to clean it up any more than I already have right now…grrr!)
Sadly I failed my Resist Meme roll.

Odd, who would have known – it’s my world view which is dark, not my humor. Spontaneously vulgar – I think that’s probably about right.
Be afraid … be very afraid!
I too am “The Wit” but I scored 99% Dark, 99% Spontaneous and 99% Vulgar…
Be afraid I say … Thanks for the Meme, posting shortly ;)
Woops…
My scores were 69% dark, 34% spontaneous, 22% vulgar .. the 99%^3 related to how I scored compared to the rest of the testers… feh…
Sometimes it helps to read the fine print LOL
The code just kills me – especially ones like this with huge output. I think my site now has like 50 validation errors almost all due to this one meme – and thats after I cleaner it up.
Oh, I know…they’re all bad, but this one I ended up just stripping out virtually all the HTML, just so I didn’t have to deal with it.
My
favorite
part, though — and possibly something I should have called attention to — was in the table code that generates the bar graphs. Rather than just putting a
or some such in the table cell, OKCupid gives us this:A 1×1 pixel transparent .gif with

text advertising ‘free online dating’. Not only could OKCupid be using this as a web bug, but it looks like manna from heaven for spammers to me — yet another meme spreading around the ‘net with a convenient, spam-centric catchphrase buried in the code that most people won’t pay much attention to for them to Google.Needless to say, I stripped that out before posting my results.
