    • More on Lawrence v. Texas This is huge. Our nation took a huge step today toward eliminating one of the last standing impediments to true equality under the law. Just wait until the press picks this up. ➡
    • Year 5 over already I didn't really mean to stay up until 4:15am to finish Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix last night…I just got sucked in and lost track of time. Roughly eight or nine hours reading time over the course of the day all told, before and after work. Good stuff! ➡
    • Supreme Court Tries Sodomy…and likes it! Sorry, I couldn't help the title — especially after Slate magazine's unfortunate choice of headline ('Supreme Court tries sodomy') from the beginning of this trial. ➡

    • IntyOS IntyOS is not a port of Contiki and does not have the same desktop environment, nor the same built-in tools. It was written from scratch in CP-1600 assembly language in order to fit exactly to the hardware specificities of the Intellivision.     • 'Hands-free' isn't accident free I've got a habit of hanging up on people if I know that they're calling me from a cell phone in their car. I've been grumbled at this on more than a few occasions, especially lately when they can use the excuse that they're using a 'hands free' headset, so they don't have to have one hand on the phone. I'll still get off the phone — I've never believed that jabbering on a cell phone while driving, with or without a headset, is safe. ➡
    • Quickies! Of primary interest, however, is the public unveiling of a drink I came up with a few years back, and had been quite popular among my friends since then. We've just finally given it a name: Quickie! ➡

One of the major reasons (aside from naked people on bikes, of course), is the simple fact that many of the bands that I've been listening to (and playing during my DJ career) for years actually come through town every so often, so I can actually see them. ➡

    • Free Wi-Fi for my apartment? Today on my way home for lunch I saw a work crew installing one of the Wi-Fi antennas on a lamppost on the 8th Avenue bridge over Freeway Park. Now I'm starting to wonder if my building just might end up with free Wi-Fi access provided by the City of Seattle. ➡
