- Had a #nobillnobreak Periscope feed running in the background all day. Happy to see it happening, proud of all the Dems supporting it (from WA and otherwise), sad that it took this long and this many deaths to start seriously fighting agains the NRA-controlled Repubs. I wish we had a better solution than #noflynobuy, since ... Read more ➡

- Sheldon Cooper’s Holographic Laptop So I noticed something that amused me while watching Big Bang Theory the other night -- apparently Sheldon has a holographic display on his laptop. The real-world explanation, of course, is the conceit of television's visual language, but that's not nearly as much fun to believe. ➡

- Fathers Day I just woke up and realized that I'd completely forgotten to say anything about Father's Day yesterday. Oops! I hope all the dads I know had good days yesterday (and will continue having good days tomorrow and in the days to come)! ➡

- Voices of the Beat: Burroughs, Ginsberg, and more… The Naropa Institute has just released a large number of recordings of lectures and classes to the Internet Archive. Included are recordings of William S. Burroughs, Allen Ginsberg and many, many more beat-era poets, writers, and personalities. Incredibly cool. Right now, I'm downloading a 1980 William S. Burroughs lecture on public discourse. ➡

- Made it to Seattle Well, I'm in Seattle. It may be a while before I am able to put another update on my page, unfortunately. I'm currently staying with some friends who have been kind enough to put my webserver and main work machine on their network, however due to their firewall, I'm not able to update my page from my own machines! Bleah. ➡
