Day 30: Happy Pride month! I didn’t think about the date in the morning blur while getting dressed, so my rainbows are looking a little dark today. I’ll be a little more colorful on other days, though!

Day 30: Happy Pride month! I didn’t think about the date in the morning blur while getting dressed, so my rainbows are looking a little dark today. I’ll be a little more colorful on other days, though!

Day 29: I’ve long been curious about ergonomic keyboards, but never enough to spring for one, in case I didn’t like it. We got a stack in at work, so I’m borrowing one for a while to see what I think. Only two hours in, but so far my typing speed has dropped by half and I’ve realized that I type “B” with the wrong hand, so now any word with a “B” gets spelled with an “N” instead on the first try.

Day 28: Another “grab a selfie while sitting on the living room couch” shot. Shows off my end-of-the-month scruff, though. This is about as long as I let my face fuzz get, as it’s almost time for me to do my turn-of-the-month trim.

Day 27: Computer, tea. Glazed Lemon Loaf. Hot.
Tazo’s Glazed Lemon Loaf tea is amazing. Somehow it really does manage to capture both the lemony taste of the loaf and the vanilla of the glaze. It’s been my tea of choice for the past year.

Day 26: Had lunch, then grabbed some frozen yogurt and went up to a local park, where we found a little league baseball game going on. Don’t know who was playing or what the score was, but it was a pleasant way to spend some time this afternoon.

Day 25: Happy 24th birthday to The Mercury! Though I won’t be out to celebrate with all of you, have a good birthday party!

Day 24: I keep explaining to people that I’m very understated and subtle about my interests. For some odd reason, they don’t seem to believe me.

Day 23: Meetings running long generally isn’t something I’m fond of. But I don’t so much mind meetings running a half hour over when it’s because we collectively decided to sit outside so we could enjoy the weather.

Day 22: The trees were one of the reasons we bought this place. We’re in the city and close to the things we want to do, but can also enjoy sitting on our back deck and watching squirrels, crows, hummingbirds, and the sun through the leaves.
28/2023 – ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Kirk and Spock travel to another universe as the Enterprise crew try to counter an invasion by aliens on a religious crusade. The alien’s religion didn’t really make sense to me, their gravity-controlling weapons seemed to work mostly as required by the plot, and Cox’s referential style is as present as ever. (I feel like I harp on this, mentioning it in every review of one of his books, but it really stands out every time. He’s not a bad writer at all, he just has this stylistic quirk that likely doesn’t stick out nearly as much to some people as much as it does to me.) Not a bad adventure, but not top-tier, either.
