- Proof! Proof that Alaska is sometimes a bit of a time warp! #blockbuster #blockbustervideo #vhs ➡
- Dad and me. Mom says this was at her parents’ house in Indianapolis in December of ’73, the day he came home from a tour stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam War. I’d be about eight months old. ➡
- Me and Kev, August of 1992. Mom’s comment: “These are the children of parents who decided it wasn’t worth worrying about what they did with their hair.” 😂 ➡
- Kevin and me, late ’90s sometime. I miss my “DIE YUPPIE SCUM” shirt (which was most frequently pronounced as if it was German: “dee yoopee skoom”)! ➡
- My mom’s engagement announcement portrait. ➡

- I’ve been seeing some people grousing about #StarTrekDiscovery being set pre-#TOS. While I can understand disappointment if one was hoping for a post-#Nemesis setting (though I’m fine with the announced setting), there seems to be this idea that there can’t be any real suspense because we know so much about #StarTrek universe in Discovery’s future. ... - Totally geeking out over today’s #StarTrekDiscovery announcements. Is it January yet? 🖖 (And yes, that’s the Kelvin Timeline Enterprise, but I don’t have a Prime Timeline ship model, so I work with what I have.) - The application is in! Well, we've gone and done it -- we turned in the application for the apartment we looked at yesterday. If all goes well, we should hear back by midday tomorrow...and with luck, we'll get the go and have our new place! ➡
- The Search Has Begun… Prairie and I looked at an apartment yesterday evening up in North Seattle (just off the 130th St. exit from I-5) that looks really good. We're keeping our fingers crossed, but at least judging by yesterday's showing, things are looking very promising. Yay! ➡

- It’s me! Note: while this did happen to me tonight, this rant isn't particularly aimed at any one person, as I've had it happen to me off and on from many different people over the years. Don't take it personally — but if it sounds like I could be talking to you, than it might be worth taking to heart. ➡
- When I die… Amusing tombstones. ➡

- Coming out Huh. I may not be gay, but I think that in a sense, I just 'came out.' Interesting. ➡
- Sufficient Reason The fishermen know that the sea is dangerous and the storm terrible, but they have never found these dangers sufficient reasons for remaining ashore. ➡
- Welcome to Tim's Place! I wanted to pass on a friendly welcome to Tim, who has just joined our happy little family here at TypePad. ➡
- Everybody cut Footloose! I lucked into free tickets to Broadway Bound's production of 'Footloose - The Musical' today, and it was an absolute blast! ➡
- Starship and Kickshaw If you get a chance to see Starship perform, and it's cheap, and you don't have anything pressing going on, it's not a bad show. Now, if you get a chance to see Kickshaw perform, you should, with absolutely no qualifications whatsoever. ➡
