Day 349: Cloudy and grey today, but it was nice, cool, and comfortable when I remembered to take a break and walk around the neighborhood this morning.

Year 50 Day 348
Day 348: Mostly a day of chores and errands: groceries, laundry, taxes (hey, it was before the deadline). Productive, but not terribly interesting.

Day 347: Our morning wasn’t quite as relaxing as planned, thanks to some somewhat unexpected early morning maintenance work on our building. However, to avoid the noise, we went out and stopped by a local Mexican bakery to pick up pastries, took a nice walk along the Green River, and got the car washed. Work was still going on when we got home, so we went down into the basement, took a nap, and then watched a movie; by the time that was done, we could come upstairs without there being constant banging on the ceiling. In the end, it’s been a pretty good day.

Miles gets caught up in political intrigue in the court of the Cetagandans, his former enemies. Just as entertaining as the rest of this series has been so far, and I enjoyed getting back in.
Year 50 Day 346
Day 346: Today was the final day of the DSSC/WAPED conferences, and thus the last day of my explorations of the Green River College campus. It’s been a nice variation for the week with a lot of good conversations, but also a lot of fairly intense braining. I’m definitely ready to zone out for the weekend.
Year 50 Day 345
Day 345: Another conference day, and some more exploration of the Green River College campus. Today I found a neat little pottery sculpture garden. Lots of neat pieces tucked away here!
Year 50 Day 344
Day 344: Day two of conferencing for the week. Green River College’s sports teams are the Gators, and I spotted their mascot on the way in! Good thing that cage is securely locked.
Year 50 Day 343
Day 343: Hanging out at Green River College for most of the week for the spring Disability Support Services Council (DSSC) and Washington Association on Postsecondary Education and Disability (WAPED) conferences. Good to connect with my colleagues in person, and was even elected to the DSSC board as tech advisor for the next two years. Not a bad day.
Year 50 Day 342
Day 342: Just a quick word of thanks to those people I’ve seen making snarky comments or sharing snarky memes about Beyoncé’s new album. I’ve been so wrapped up with Norwescon that I was only vaguely aware that it had come out, but I saw enough grumbling that it got me curious. Gave it a listen today, and it is a really strong album, absolutely deserving of the accolades that (as I now know, after doing a little reading today) it has been getting. So, thanks for being vocal about your disdain! You helped her make another sale!
Year 50 Day 341
Day 341: Another quiet weekend day. Finally got a chance to watch the first two episodes of the final season of Star Trek: Discovery, and the season looks to be off to a good start.
